Araldica 'Palazzi' Chiaretto, Monferrato, Piedmont, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Dry, pretty, value.
Araldica is a third-generation, family-operated co-operative based in Piedmont. They work with over 230 Piedmont grower members and produce the high quality Piedmont wines from its most prestigious winegrowing regions but they also make wines in a number of other Italian regions. A pretty light pink, this Barbera with 20% Pinot Noir, suggests tangy cranberry orange peel and cherry notes lightly sprinkled with spice. Dry and tangy, it has lifted red fruit and herbal flavours on the palate. It smacks of freshness and offers great value in every sip; another slam dunk in Araldica's good bang-for-your-buck category.
